Summer is here ! Eat some Filipino Halo-Halo dessert !
As the heat waves are hitting the city of Paris, we are all craving for refreshness and sweet things to drink AND eat ! So here is the presentation and the recipe of the famous Filipino dessert that I yearly sell during the Independence Day of the Philippines.
The Halo-Halo = Le Mélange-Mélange =The Mix-Mix
is popular Filipino dessert not to say the most emblematic dessert of the Philippines !

Thus, it is a mix of shaved ice, concentrated milk and a diverse variety of exotic and local ingredients all served in a big cup or a bowl . The final result must be colorful and aesthetic ! Here is a list of the ingredients that my mother and I usually prepare to make our delicious Halo-Halo.

2. Yam / Patate Douce / Kamote
3. Jackprutas / Jackquier / Jackfruit
4. Red beans / Haricots Rouges / Mungo
5. Rice Grains / Riz soufflés / Pinipig

Choose COLORFUL ONES like yellow, green. NOT BLACK
