Konishiwa Japan!

On the April 14th 2017, I travelled to Japan with the Gonzales family from the Philippines! Spring is definitely the best moment of the year to visit Japan, as the weather is nice and the whole country is abounded in cherry blossoms trees.

For me, it was the end of my studies, for my family it was the Holy week vacation but ... it was also the COLDPLAY ASIA TOUR. Funny fact, my two cousins, whom you will hear a LOT about: Eya and Janina, bought tickets for the COLDPLAY concert as it was sold out in Manila...SOOOO because of or thanks to that, they brought ALL their family to Japan including ME. So thank you, Chris Martin!

So, here are some shots of our one-full-intense-week of vacation in Japan, the country known for the BIDET toilet but especially for their traditions, their outstanding architecture and temples, their unique fashion style, their delicious food and their ANIME!

Tokyo

Capital of Japan, the city of Tokyo offers experiences between tradition and modernity.
After taking the Shinkansen train, the fastest train ever made, we discovered a busy city full of people walking in suit and ties. But still, people are so disciplined that Tokyo is very a organized, safe and clean city.

We visited the Mount Fuji. Unfortunately, the tour didn't bring us to the lake that gives a wonderful sight on the mountain. But we had the privilege to be ON the mountain and to have a traditional Japanese buffet style lunch with a view of the mountain.

Afterwards, we were taken at a the Natural Hot Springs Water Bathing ! A full experience of the Japanese tradition where we were completely naked...

Tokyo Disney SEA

You already have heard of Disney LAND, haven't you? But have you heard of DISNEY SEA? Yes, I said SEA! No, right? Well, ,e neither until my cousins announced that we will spend the day there!

So basically, it is a magical place where there are new worlds (Hollywood, New York..), new attractions, new rides, a lot of Musical shows, Japanese people walking with matchy clothes aaaaaand a diverse range of POP CORN to try and eat!

- Salted

- Caramel

- Curry

- Basil Tomatoes

- White Chocolate

Osaka

Osaka is the 2nd largest city after Tokyo. It is located at the Kansai region and it is mostly well-known for

1 - The Umeda Sky Building

2 - The Osaka castle

3 - The cherry plum trees around the Osaka castle

3 - Dotonbori night walking street with LOTS of street food and shops

4 - And the Universal Studios! ps: My cousins have visited AAAAALL the Universal Studios OF THE WORLD! Me? I need to go to  the one in Singapore, that's the last one on my bucket list.

Enjoy!

Kyoto

We only stayed half a day in Kyoto, it was fast, intense and tiring but worth it!

Kyoto was the most touristic spot we visited. Indeed, as Kyoto served as Japan's capital and the emperor's residence from 794 until 1868. (credits: Japan-guide), it is a city rich of History.

1 - The Kyoto Imperial

2 - Kinkajuki Temple (or the Golden temple)

3 - The Sento Pala

I was too quick and uncomfortable to be surrounded of so many tourists. So hopefully, I will come back and take time to discover all of Kyoto's cultural richness.

ARIGATO.

SAYONARA NIPPON!
